Bathing

Grandma got to give Sadie her first two baths at home and tonight Grandma and Grandpa Murphey got to watch Sadie get her bath on the webcam. Unfortunately, Grandma Murphey hasn't been able to come see Sadie because of her cancer and we are excited about any way we can help them "meet" her. Grandma and Grandpa are so excited to meet her and so sad they haven't been able to yet. Sadie made some good faces for them of the webcam tonight and we are counting down the days till December 11 when we get to go home!

Woohoo!!!I

Now, I'll just say this from the start. I am not expecting (I'm barely hoping!) that this behavior is the beginning of a pattern, but Sadie definietly deserves props for sleeping last night. She bathed at 8, finished eating and went to bed at 8:45 and did not wake up until 5:30! Great job Sadie! (How sad that thoughts of 8 are already playing through my mind!)

And, she had an awesome day. Lots of naps and a happy Sadie! She still is spitting up an awful lot, which makes me sad. It seems so uncomfortable and painful. I spend a lot of my day burbing her and we still are both covered in spit-up by not too long.

Making up for Yesterday

Here's Sadie wearing one of the cute hats my Aunt Coco made for her. She also got a cute blanket (and I got dishrags!). The other picture is just Sades holding up her head. Look how strong she is. She is really quite a pill when it comes to tummy time. Well, I guess pill might not be the right word. Some babies scream through it, but not our Sadie. She just sits there. She hardly ever moves her neck (which is the purpose) and usually doesn't even kick her feet. Just contentedly thinks, "ahhhh, they finially put me on my tummy!" What a funny girl. It's a good thing she likes to put her head up when we hold her or she'd never get those strong neck muscles she needs.

Not Eventful

Sadie woke up at 7 again this morning. Dad thinks it's her waking up Cooper and I believe him after today. Hopefully he adjusts to her. She napped pretty well today. She does much better upstairs in her bed for naps, so that is what I try to do. We went shopping for an hour tonight and she didn't love it. We'll have to work on that!

Infamous Scowl

Such a sweet girl. Last night was another one where she went 7 hours. That makes it 3 of the last 6. Not too bad! I love the scowl on her face in the first picture. A lot of times when she eats she just sits there and scowls the whole time. So funny. Grandma says that's exactly what I used to do, so I'm not surprised. I did get another bright smile! And, she went to bed like an angel tonight, just before 10.

Smiling Beauty

Such a good little smiler! Look at that darling new baby, crooked smile. It is my favorite! She always gives me the best smiles just before she eats. Maybe she knows what is coming. She has been giving us these for four days, but we haven't been sure if they are real smiles or gas smiles. Yesterday and today we are sure. She has given too many in a row and at just the times we try to make her smile. We love you Sadie bug!!!

Third Sunday at Church

Yesterday was Sadie's third week at church. Since we are still the Sunday School teachers, there are MANY helpful people in our ward who volunteer to help out by holding her. She gets a ton of comments every week about how cute she it. We agree, but we try not to tell people too much! She did great at church, sleeping almost the whole time. She ate just at the beginning, and then at the end and slept the whole time in between!
